Fairy Tail was originally founded by Mavis Vermillion — The First Guild Master who was said to be an actual Fairy. Mavis named the Guild "Fairy Tail" because of the mystery of the name. As quoted by her, she says —"We will never know if fairies will ever have a tail, but that is what makes it a mystery.”The Guild has always been a home for those that are lost just finding a place that they could call home.
